## Editorial policy

CheckoutScale exists to help direct-response sellers pick the right checkout and funnel software. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.

### Independence

Rankings and verdicts are editorial decisions. No vendor can pay for a higher position, a softer verdict, or the removal of a drawback. Affiliate relationships exist (see [how we make money](/how-we-make-money)), and they change nothing about the order a tool appears in or what we say about it.

### Sourcing

Facts about a tool come from the vendor's own site. Judgments about how a tool performs in practice come from long-term user reports we can link to. We never invent a quote, a statistic, a price or a user. If we do not have something, we say we do not have it.

### Every recommendation names a cost

A recommendation with no stated drawback reads as bought. Every tool we rank, including the ones at the top, carries at least one honest negative, scoped to what it actually limits. That is how you can tell the difference between an opinion and an advertisement.

### Accuracy and corrections

Prices and features change. We date every price and re-check the money pages every 90 days. When we get something wrong, we correct it and note the change in the page's changelog. Report an error to [editor@checkoutscale.com](mailto:editor@checkoutscale.com).

### AI and authorship

Our pages are written and edited by the people on our [authors page](/authors), working from the research described in our [methodology](/methodology). We do not publish unreviewed machine output, and we do not attach a human byline to a page nobody stood behind.
